Teacher Collections

Teachers: you have two options to borrow books for your classroom from the Meigs Library.
  1. Pick up at the Pomeroy Library
  2. Drop off at your school
You decide! But, please note that selecting the "drop off" option may take up to a month.

The Meigs County District Public Library's Children's Department is happy to assist educators in compiling collections of books for their classrooms on specific subjects.  Before making your request with the online form below, please note the following conditions and other details.

  • We request at least four weeks' notice to gather material for your collection. Providing us with more time allows us to request items from other libraries in our consortium, which could enhance your collection.
  • We will fulfill a maximum of 20 titles per collection request.
  • Seasonal and holiday books can be in high demand, and it may be difficult to pull together the requested number of materials on these topics during certain times of the year. This is why it is important to submit your request in a timely manner.
  • You will be notified by Ms. Sydney when your collection has been gathered and is ready to be checked out and picked up. Please pick up your items within ten days of notification. Materials not picked up within this ten-day period will be returned to the shelves. If you are unable to pick up your items please make arrangements with Ms. Sydney at szirkle@meigslibrary.org, to have your books delivered to you.
  • If you are an educator and would like to utilize this program and do not have a library card, please email Ms. Sydney at szirkle@meigslibrary.org, or visit any one of our branches to obtain a library card.
